International Scientific Conference

On April 9th, 2022, the International Scientific Conference on Life in Virtual Reality – Economic, Pedagogical, Psychological and Legal Aspects was held at the Radom Academy of Economics.

 

The conference was organized in partnership with Kazimieras Simonavicius University, Kaunas Forestry and Environmental Engineering University of Applied Sciences, Utenos Kolegija, Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, Extremadura University, University of Pecs, Anadolu University, Provincial Police Headquarters based in Radom, Mazowieckie Self-Government Center Teachers’ Training, the Polish Institute of Internal Control and the Association of Experts for Crimes and Economic Abuses.

The honorary patronage over the conference was taken by: the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship – Adam Struzik and the President of the City of Radom – Radosław Witkowski.

The media patrons of the conference were: Radio Rekord 106.2 FM, Telewizja Dami, Portal CoZaDzien.pl and the weekly “7 Days”.

After the ceremonial opening of the Conference she chaired Ph.D.Elżbieta Kielska, prof. of RAE – Rector of the Academy, the plenary session has started. Among the speakers were: Ph.D. Leszek Mellibruda, prof. of RAE, prof. Stanisław Wrzosek, prof.  Stanisław Koziej, prof. Marcin Zalasiński, prof.Waldemar Klinkosz, Assoc. Prof. Dikran M. Zenginkuzucu and Colonel Ph.D. Piotr Potejko. Among other things, particularly current issues related to cybersecurity, cyberterrorism, as well as topics related to the impact of virtual reality on human life during a pandemic were discussed. In the second part of the Conference, there were speeches in eight expert panels and one student panel.

During the lecture, the economic, pedagogical, psychological and legal aspects of functioning in virtual reality were discussed. It should therefore be said with satisfaction that the scientific goals of the conference were achieved. The event was attended by representatives of almost 40 research units from Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Turkey, Greece, Romania and India. The conference Life in Virtual Reality – Economic, Pedagogical, Psychological and Legal Aspects was one of the largest scientific events in our region in recent years. The scientific dimension of the Conference is supplemented by a two-volume monograph: Virtual reality in the perspective of social sciences – pedagogy, psychology and management (Volume I) and Virtual reality in the perspective of legal, digital security and information technologies (Volume II), published by the Publishing House of the RAE.
