DRAFT OF SPECIALIZATION

The aim of studies in the Smart City specialisation at the Faculty of Internal Security is to acquire knowledge in the area of contemporary directions of smart city development, with particular emphasis on the role of technological potential and its implementation in the organisation and management of     a smart city. Graduates of this specialisation will acquire skills in the use of modern technologies in smart city management, the legal basis and operational aspects of their use, the organisation of an efficient communication system in smart cities,

Completion of studies in this specialisation will enable you to learn the secrets of the functioning of large urban agglomerations in organisational and technological terms in many areas aimed at increasing safety and multidimensional quality of life in the city.

Completion of the specialisation allows you to deepen your knowledge and skills in:

  • urban development determinants and concepts
  • key areas of smart city development
  • modern means of transport
  • smart solutions in communication and integration of transport in urban space
  • the Smart City concept in terms of national and EU conditions
  • legal basis and operational aspects of drone use
  • smart city management
  • measurement of the level of intelligence of cities

CAREER prospects

Graduates of the  Smart City specialisation will be prepared to work in central and local government administration and institutions dealing with internal security in the broadest sense, including companies implementing solutions within Smart City projects. They will have the knowledge needed to safely design system architectures for such things as: transport management, energy and utility management or public safety. They will find their way in the market for new technologies, especially in those areas that focus on the development of software to manage city and state systems. They will be able to use the knowledge they have acquired in the design of complex urban management systems and in forecasting risks in urban agglomerations.
