Association of Certified Auditors and Specialists for Internal Control (CAKW) and the Radom Academy of Economics (RAE), as well as the Polish Institute of Internal Control Sp. z o.o. (PIKW) Association of Experts for Counteracting Fraud, Economic Abuse and Corruption (ACFE Polska), Centrum Audytu Security Sp. z o.o. and the Faculty of Law and Administration of AHNS invite students, academic teachers, members and supporters of CAKW to participate in the II Radom Audit Forum: Fraud during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Consumers should be very vigilant when shopping online, and retailers should know the rules carefully. Recent audits by national consumer protection cooperation authorities have shown that dishonest traders use various measures to attract consumers and that there are many products on the market that allegedly can cure or prevent COVID-19 infection and have fake COVID-19 infection. compliance certificates. In some cases, scammers also use the opportunity to steal email addresses and passwords. Criminals also use telephone scams to commit financial fraud – they call victims pretending to work for a hospital or clinic, claiming that a victim’s relative has contracted the virus and demanding payment for treatment.

In many cases, scammers pretend to be legitimate companies using similar names, websites, and e-mail addresses, trying to deceive unsuspecting citizens and even actively reach them via e-mails and messages on social media platforms.The symposium is addressed to everyone interested in the subject. The event is open to students of academia from such faculties as administration, law, management, finance and accounting, criminology, internal security, as well as other interested students.

Organizational remarks:

All Participants will receive a certificate of participation – the condition for obtaining a certificate and participation in the symposium is prior registration just before the symposium in a designated place, ie the RAE on Traugutta 61a, 26-600 Radom, Aula 1 (1st floor). March 26, 2022 (Saturday) from 10:00 to 12:20.

The symposium takes place in compliance with the sanitary requirements related to the Covid 19 pandemic. The number of places is limited, the order of applications decides.
