The beginning of the New Academic Year is an amazing time for any student who starts their education or continues it within the walls of alma mater. On this occasion, October 12 at 11.00 in the Aditorium Primmum of the Radom academy of Economics a ceremonial inauguration took place, matriculation of first-year students and welcome to foreign students
The twenty-second inauguration of the academic year at the RAE is not only an opportunity to remember the successes and achievements of the university for the local community and the academic community, but also to remind students of the great role they play in creating the atmosphere.
The ceremony began with listening to Gaude Mater Polonia and the Rector’s speech – assoc. prof. Elżbieta Kielska, who emphasized the university’s achievements and its important place on the map of Radom and the region, as a modern university that educates high-level students – practitioners. The Rector drew attention to the university’s exceptionally wide educational offer and its contribution to the region’s development thanks to specialists from various fields, who successfully receive diplomas with a master’s, bachelor’s or engineering degree annually from the RAE.
The Chancellor – Ph.D. Gerard Paweł Maj, professor of RAE, encouraged students to take up life challenges and reach for the highest laurels.The Chancellor also honored the students of undergraduate, engineering and master’s studies at the RAE, who obtained the highest secondary education in the last academic year.
Shortly after the matriculation of the first-year students, the time came for guests. Among the guests who addressed the congratulations to the university authorities and students, there were: Marek Suski – Secretary of State, Katarzyna Kalinowska – Vice President of the City of Radom, Leszek Ruszczyk – Member of the Seym of the Republic of Poland, Joanna Kluzik Rostkowska – Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Kosztowniak – Member of the Polish Parliament, Tomasz Śmietanka – Councilor of the Masovian Regional Assembly.
After the speeches, the dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences -Andrzej Gołębiowski -, read the addresses sent. During the ceremony, there was a speech by Agnieszka Gregier – Chairwoman of the College Student Government Council.
The inauguration ended with a lecture by dr Irena Kamińska – Radomska: “The Impact of Etiquette on Business Success”.
